On Wednesday, October 1st I will be participating in the Fall Into Fall Quilter's Blog Giveaway. I will be giving away this fabric basket that I made and the three Jo Morton fat quarters that you see tucked inside of it.
To enter my Giveaway leave me a comment on or after October 1st (not before)about your favorite thing concerning the Fall Season. Any comments that do not include this requirement will not be counted. I guess staying up late has it's advantages - I can be the first Oct. 1 post for your giveaway!! My favorite thing about fall is many things together - the cool, crisp air, the leaves on the trees turning to red, gold, orange, and the sound of leaves when they crunch and you walk on them, and then a feeling of being cozy near the fire. It's my favorite season!! The basket is just precious and thanks for the tutorial link so I can make one, too!!!

I love seeing the animals liven up with the cool weather after the long hot summer. Riding out in the open seeing the grasses and trees turn wonderful shades of oranges, reds, browns, purples... on must not forget yellow in there either :)

Rats, I missed out being first though it is almost the close of October 1st here in Japan. The thing I love most about the fall season are the little orange persimmons hanging on the leafless persimmon trees with their almost black branches. They look like mini Halloween hanging ornaments!

I love the fabric basket. Fall will soon bring us temperatures in the 80's instead of 110 degrees. Ahhh, but the desert still offer some changes, just not as extreme as other places.

My favorite things about fall are the smells of burning leaves, the beautiful colors of orange, red, yellow and green of the leaves, apple cider, fresh apple donuts at the orchard, pumpkins, squash and the lovely cool weather! I hate warm weather and nothing is better than curling up with my dogs under a blanket, candles lit and reading a good bokk while sipping hot tea! Fall to me is heaven.

ReplyDeleteFall into fall - I love this season, so many bright colors - they say things are dying - but to me they are just going to sleep for a little while. I love the fall harvest of pumpkins & apples, I love not having to turn the heat on for a little while and can bake without heating the house up too much. I love sitting on the porch with a sweatshirt and a cup of cappunicino to keep the chill off and I really like all the fall gardening that can be done - or just taking a break on the porch with a quilt that needs quilting or piecing. The fall is my favorite time of the year. The weather cools off but is still comfortably warm in the day time with sweaters or light jackets needed at night. The colors are fantastic, especially if we have had enough rain in the summer like this year. The holidays are approaching and family gatherings are a big part of it. I love to cook big meal and have loved ones gathered around the table.

ReplyDeleteI love Fall because Krispy Creme has their Pumpkin Spiced Donuts! They only offer them for 2-3 months out of the year. I usually end up eating a dozen throughout the season. Pumpkin pie is another favorite of mine in Fall. Can you tell I like pumpkin? :)

We don't have much of a fall season here in Florida but the best thing I like about it is waking up on a cool fall Saturday or Sunday where the sun is bright and the air is nippy. Open the windows and feel the fresh air! It's my favorite time of year!

ReplyDeleteFall (Autumn) is the time I get to enjoy perfect weather. The long hot summer is past and the freezing winter is still on it's way. In winter I prefer summer and in summer I prefer winter but in Autumn .... I'm happy.
