We are on the Critter Patrol around here. I picked up this live trap the other day in hopes to catch that rascally raccoon that paid my Summer Palace a visit a while back and gave it some extra ventilation. If you are new to my blog or have no clue to what I am talking about you can read about it here. We have had evidence that the raccoon is still around, so maybe we can relocate this critter to a wooded place that it will be happier in. This morning Hubby reported that he caught something over the night. It was a cat. Hmmmm wonder if that same cat will be back to get more tuna? Time will tell!
Aside from quilting away on The Monster I was able to get a few more Civil War Diary blocks done this past week. I am disappointed in the green and purple block. Is is the top right block. The photo doesn't show the true colors. I tried three different locations to get a clearer photo of the blocks but this was the best I could come up with. Anyway, there isn't enough contrast between the purple and green fabric to do this block justice. Oh well, I doubt if I make it over again.I will keep every one up to date on the Critter Patrol! Keep your fingers crossed that it doesn't become a cat fest out there!

We had really good luck with peanut butter and marshmallows. Those rascally racoons can drive you nuts.
I like all the blocks, including the top right one, it looks great.
Mar, your blocks are beautiful!!! I like the purple and green one best! The design stands out so much with the fabric you chose. It is my favorite!

Try the peanut butter...the cats should leave it alone. You could also try Fluff marshmallow spread.
Can the cat stay indoors or in a garage while you set the trap for Mr. Raccoon?

Glad you caught something but sorry it was a cat not the rascally raccoon! LOL
I know what you mean about the purple and green block...great colors but sometimes the CW type fabrics are hard to get good contrast with aren't they?
All the fabrics are really busy plus they also show up as all three sort of mediums for contrast and that is probably what you don't like about the block.
I personally love it but sometimes it is hard to get past it when they don't turn out just as you pictured in your mind! LOL

I second carin's comment...they can be really nasty when they feel cornered. So much for the cute little stuffed raccoons - I saw one give my coworker a slash that took 6 stitches and way to many shots to think about!
