Civil War Diary Quilt

I love reproduction fabric from the Civil War era. I have a large collection of it. When I saw that a group of fellow bloggers were going to make the quilt fr om this book I decided to join them. If you want to check out what the fellow members are doing you can check out the link to the blog ring Sew Many Quilts on the right side. I ordered the book/CD today, so it should arrive some time next week. Please Mr. Postman hurry!

I have been working on "The Monster" and have worked down to the opposite end of the quilt, so I will be able to turn the quilt down more on the frame soon. Yeah!

I bet you could figure out a few of the blocks without the book. They finish to 6" and there are a few posted on different blocks that are four patches so pretty simple. Have fun.

Welcome to make these blocks. You are indeed lucky to have a lot of CW fabrics! I have not, but I've collected for some time. I sometimes even have to buy it from US! I don't have the CD, but I'll advise you to go to the yahoo-group (see my blog), there are instructions for both rotary cutting and foundation paper piecing. I prefer the rotary cutter!!
