My Featherweight

I love my Featherweight Sewing Machine. Jessica asked one time what a Featherweight was. A Featherweight is a antique Singer Sewing Machine that weighs round 11 lb.s It is nice and compact and very easy to take from place to place. I took my machine to my friend Gloria's today to work on our Scrappy Lattice blocks. Gloria, Phyllis and myself are making the same pattern. My friends are using florals and I am using Civil War reproduction fabrics. We also worked on our Christmas Block of the Month. My friend Cindy has all of the fabrics picked for the remaining 11 blocks. Can we say overachiever? Just teasing Cindy! I still haven't totally finished the bear block from month #1. Yikes!

Thanks for letting me know what a fetherweight is! I had no idea... I was imagining a light quilt or something. I was TOTALLY off. I guess you can tell I am not a quilter! Who knows, maybe if I ever have free time you can teach me a thing or two!
